The Center for Reference in Artificial Intelligence (CEREIA) is conducting an International Public Selection for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Artificial Intelligence to work at the Federal University of Ceará. Brazilian and international researchers who have obtained a doctoral degree within the last seven years, either in Brazil or abroad, with outstanding performance in a research area related to the fellowship’s activities, are eligible to apply.

CEREIA is committed to promoting excellence in AI research, with specific focus on addressing healthcare-related problems and challenges. The Center conducts several projects, including prediction of chronic diseases; engagement of patients in health promotion and chronic disease prevention programs; intelligent systems for remote patient monitoring; analysis and processing of medical images; medical history assisted by artificial intelligence; and others.

The fellowship offers a monthly stipend of R$12,000.00, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) under an initial two-year contract, supervised by one or more CEREIA researchers. The fellowship may be extended for an additional year, depending on the fellow’s performance and the availability of funds.
